Q. Are Reservations Required?

A. Walk-ups are always welcomed, however reservations are highly recommended so that you get the boat best suited for your plans on the water and reserve the time you desire.

Q. Are Deposits Required?

A. All rentals must be paid for at time of booking. Powered vessels are subject to a $1,000 hold of funds and paddle sports rentals are subject to a $100 hold. These holds show up in bank accounts similarly to pre-authorizations and are removed when equipment returns in the same condition.

Q. What Is The Cancellation Policy?

We understand that plans change.  With 48 hours notice, you may reschedule or request a refund. Less than 48 hours notice may request a reschedule but may not request a refund. No shows are not rescheduled or refunded. If bad weather is the issue, we will re-book you for a better day in the future.

Q. What Is The Plan For Bad Weather?

A. Locations may close when sustained winds exceed 20 mph and/or thunderstorms are in the area. Reservations originally planned to take place during closure may rebook or request a refund.

Q. What Do I Need To Rent A Boat?

A. All you need to rent a boat is a driver’s license, major credit card, adequate previous boating experience and be at least 21 years of age.  If you were born in or after 1988 you must have a boat license or Safe Boating Card.

Q. What If I Do Not Have A Boating License?

A.  Florida law states that anyone born on or after Jan 1, 1988, must have a boating license. Take the temporary test online quickly and easily. 30 MINUTE ONLINE TEST. GOOD FOR 90 DAYS IN FLORIDA ONLY. THE COST IS $9.

Q. What is considered adequate previous boating experience?

A. A qualified operator will have operated a similar-in-length and similar-in-power boat on tidal and navigable waters (non-lake) safely and properly on a consistent basis for at least the 2 prior years with thorough navigational and operational knowledge and experience. If a customer arrives and is unable to prove they’re qualified the rental cost is not refunded.

Q. What If I Have No Boating Experience?

A. We would be happy to recommend one of many local charter captains who can drive a boat for you.  Certain locations may offer charters on site.

Q. What Is Included In The Boat Rental?

A. All the boats have tops, stereos, and all required Coast Guard Safety equipment.  Coolers are available upon request and some locations offer ice for purchase. We also go over a chart of the local waterways with you before you leave the docks and point out area highlights that you may want to explore.

Q. Is Fuel Included?

A. Fuel is included as part of all powered vessel rentals.

Q. Is Insurance Included?

A. All boats have the standard insurance required to operate. Any damages incurred are charged the cost of repair without upcharge.

Q. Are Boats Allowed In The Ocean?

A. No, our only requirements are that boats must stay inshore along the Intracoastal Waterway and other marked channels.

Q. What Do I Need To Rent A Jet Ski/Waverunner?

A. All you need to rent a jet ski is a driver’s license, major credit card, and be at least 21 years of age.  If you were born after January 1, 1988 you must have a boat license or Safe Boating Card.

Q. What Are The Age Requirements for Jet Ski/Waverunner?

A. Operators of Jet Ski/Waverunners must be 18 years of age. Passengers must be 10 years of age. This is for safety reasons as Waverunners can be quite dangerous if used incorrectly.

Q. Where Can I Take A Jet Ski/Waverunner?

A. Every location has a set "Fun Zone." This large zone is the only space in which the PWCs may operate at full speed. This zone will be descibed to you in detail upon arrival.

Q. What are the age requirements for paddleboards and kayaks?

A. There is no set age requirement however all participants must be able to paddle alone, safely. For this reason we do not recommend kids under 6 to paddle. All minors must be accompanied.

Q. Where Can I Take A Paddleboard or Kayak?

A. The only requirement we have is that all items stay inshore and do not go into the ocean. Each location has recommendations as to which direction is best to go. You may also take kayaks and paddleboards offsite to launch elsewhere, but we don't recommend this as it takes up rental time and we also won't be there to help you launch.
